It’s October and we are talking about FALL! Each week we will have an activity and we hope that parents will help us by gathering a few items around the house (and outside) before our class starts. Supplies are encouraged but not required in order to participate in our Zoom preschool class.
Oct 6 – APPLES. Please have items from your home of different colors (especially red, green, and yellow)
Oct 13 – Pumpkins. Please have items from your home of different sizes
Oct 20 – Leaves. Please have leaves from outside
Oct 27 – Dress Up. Please have your child dress up in costume or pajamas, you are welcome to dress up as well.

(with child on lap, pump arms forward and back)

Here comes the choo-choo train
Chuggin’ down the track.
Now it’s going forward
(roll hands and lean forward)
Now it’s going back
(roll hands and lean backwards)
Now the bell is ringing
(point one finger up and wiggle it)
DING DING DING
Hear the whistle blow
(reach up with one hand and “pull” the whistle)
WOOO WOOOOO
What a lot ot noise it makes everywhere it goes
(put hands over ears and tip head side to side)
One little pumpkin smiling smiling (2 more times)
One little pumpkin is …. HAPPY
Two little pumpkins pouting pouting (2 more times)
Two little pumpkins are …… GRUMPY
Three little pumpkins yawning yawning (2 more times)
Three little pumpkins are….. SLEEPY
Four little pumkins crying crying (2 more times)
Four little pumpkins are ….. SAD
Five little pumpkins laughing laughing (2 more times)
Five little pumpkins are …… PLAYING
The itsy bitsy spider
(put pincher fingers together like a spider)
Went up the water spout (move hands up)
Down came the rain (wiggle fingers down)
And washed the spider out (sweep arms open)
Out came the sun (spread arms wide overhead)
And dried up all the rain (bring hands down in wiping motion)
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again (repeat first motion)
Way up high in the apple tree
(child stands up holding arms up like a tree)
Three little apples smiled at me (smile)
I shook that tree as hard as I could (shake)
Down came the apples. Mmmm. Mmmmm Good.
The wheels on the bus go round and round
Round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round.
All through the town.
2. Wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish
3. People on the bus go up and down
4. Babies on the bus go “waa, waa, waa”
5. Mommies on the bus go “Shh, Shh, Shh”
6. Daddies on the bus say “I love you”
